Where is District 102?

Good question. The district encompasses most of Central Hattiesburg. The boundaries include 40th Ave. on the west, 11th Ave. to the east, Broadway Dr. to the southeast, the I-59/Hwy. 11 interchange to the south, and the Country Club/Rawls Springs area to the north. However, there are additional pockets all over the map, as you can see below.

Basically, if you live in the Thames voting precinct, Country Club, Avenues, along Hardy Street or around The University of Southern Mississippi, chances are you're in District 102.

To find out for sure, send us an email and we’ll check; or, you can call the Forrest County Circuit Clerk’s office at 601-545-6049.

What counties are included in District 102?

95% of the district is in Forrest County. Only a small portion along the northern edge of West 4th St. is in Lamar County.

Who are former representatives for District 102?

Lee Jarrell Davis served from 1992 to 2007. J.B. Van Slyke served District 102 from 1984 to 1991. Stone Barefield served the district for six consecutive terms, from 1960 to 1983.
